In my dream, I was purposely driving in the southeast part of Washington, DC in my grandma's light blue '56 Corvair. I was looking for something specific. I'm not sure how that was possible because the shocks in the car are gone and the roads in DC are really, really bad. But anyways... This is the "older" part of the city - many of the homes are brick brownstones built between 1840 and 1890. I pulled up next to a wrecked building, and started a fire inside it. I think I used a lit molotov cocktail. A man approached me and accused me of starting all the other fires in the city, (I felt that I knew there were around 20-30 of them) and I thought that he was wrong, but I didn't challenge him. I just got in the car and drove off. He didn't pursue.
This feels like "inception" because it seemed to be a different timeline. Also it was a case of "mistaken identity", where someone is in 2 places at once. I think this is also a symbol of letting go of "old ways". At the time these buildings were built, America was a very different place...
